““PRP for the face is like a fountain of youth, using your own body’s healing powers to rejuvenate your skin, reduce fine lines, and restore a more youthful appearance.” ”
PRP SKIN INJECTIONS
PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) helps dehydrated, dull and listless-looking skin look smoother, tighter, younger and more refreshed.
It’s a natural treatment that improves overall skin texture and decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, mouth and overall face. It will also help to plump the hollowing in areas such as temples, tear troughs and cheeks.
By injecting your own personal PRP into the skin, the formation of new collagen cells is promoted. These new cells help reverse the signs of ageing and also can help reduce acne damage resulting in smoother more flawless-looking skin..

+ How it works
To create platelet-rich plasma, a blood sample is taken and placed in a centrifuge device that rapidly spins and separates the other components of the blood from the platelets. The concentrated PRP serum is then extracted into syringes and ready for injection into the desired areas of the face.
In the areas with deeper wrinkles and lines, the doctor may also recommend hyaluronic acid fillers or neuromodulators.
+ How many treatments do I need?
PRP treatments naturally stimulate your body’s own collagen production which will take about three months for maximum collagen production to occur. Most patients will notice an improvement in their skin texture in the first month after the treatment. It is recommended to have 2-3 treatments spaced at 4-6 weeks apart.
+ How do I prepare for treatment?
Be well hydrated and drink plenty of water the day before and day of the appointment
Eat a healthy meal before your appointment to avoid lightheadedness.
Avoid aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Iburprofen and some herbal supplements.
Minimize or avoid alcohol consumption to avoid bleeding and bruising.
+ Who is not suitable for treatment?
Anyone who
- has a bleeding disorder or chronic infections
- has a personal history of active cancer
- has blood-related conditions, such as anemia or leukemia
- has an infection in the treatment area
- is an active smoker as treatments may be less likely to respond well
+ Is there any downtime?
